2022.06.20 Ørsta to Brønnoysund

Monday, 20th 2022 - ØRSTA-VOLDA/Hovden to BRØNNØYSUND/Brønnøy 

After a lovely night camping and an ok night's sleep… we decided to have a slow morning in the sun rather than rush for the morning slot of the airport!!! It was closed between 10-3 so we decided to just do one leg today and take off in the afternoon!! (Definitely the better decision!!) 

We spent the morning at the Ørsta Flying Club!! Met the chairman (Oddvar) and some of the instructors, all of whom were super friendly and helpful!!! Oddvar helped Adam with rerouting the best way to Bronnoysund and showed us around - clearly so proud and passionate about the club and about flying and sailing too!!  

Bye bye Ørsta...

We took off on our next leg - Ørsta- Bronnoysund from one of the most incredible airport locations ever!!!  

A stunning 2.5-hour flight later we landed in a very quiet and sleepy (but beautiful) Bronnoysund. 

We walked all the way to the other side of this lovely town to the Thon Hotel… which I’m now a proud member of!!  

Expensive hotel, but a cheaper stove-cooked dinner by the sea and then bed!!! 

Tomorrow is a rainy planning kinda day!!
