Tuesday, 28th June 2022 Leknes to BRØNNØYSUND/Brønnøy
After a lovely breakfast with sea views, we tried to see about getting back to Leanne!!! Turns out this was going to be harder than we thought….
The Leknes taxi wouldn’t get us as it was too far and would end up too expensive!! (Fair!) the local taxis were busy or frankly could not be bothered!! 🤦🏽♀️ So, the lovely owner of the beach camp did a search for buses and found the next one was in 20mins!!! (The one after that was too late - we would have missed our flying window!!!) So, we legged it back… deconstructed the tent faster than the speed of light (if you play the time laps backwards at double speed - that should give an idea!!!😂) and made it back across the sandy campsite to wait for the bus!! With about 5mins to spare!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
What followed was the hottest flight ever!!!!! And HAF too, so we decided not to head down to the end of the peninsula (as originallyplanned) ... but it was all still stunning!!
And we were back again in the familiar land of Brønnoysund and the robot mowers!!
We nearly didn’t get a hotel for the night, as all the oil rig people were stuck too due to bad weather…! However, the trusty team at Thon came through for us!!!
Time for the BEST breakfast ever…. again! (No regrets!)
